ACHHAM, July 12 -- The local administration in Achham has heightened security in the district, especially in remote areas, against possible criminal activities of the Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN).
The District Police Office said security personnel have been mobilised in remote regions of the district to check and stop any criminal activities of the Chand outfit.
"Security personnel in civvies have also been deployed across the district to collect information about the outfit. Suspicious people are kept under surveillance," said a police officer.
Police have already detained some CPN activists for investigation.
