Kathmandu, May 20 -- Saudi Arabia has donated 25 tonnes of premium dates to Nepal as part of a humanitarian aid initiative led by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief). The distribution was inaugurated on Monday at the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Kupondole by the Saudi Ambassador to Nepal, Saad Nasser Abuhaimed.

This marks the first KSRelief programme in Nepal and symbolises a growing humanitarian partnership between the two nations.

The consignment was received by Chhabilal Poudel, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs. According to officials, the dates will be distributed to orphanages, Muslim organisations, universities, and other institutions, benefitting a range of communities across the country.
