Kathmandu, Sept. 8 -- The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has demanded the resignation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and called for fresh elections, saying the current government has lost its legitimacy.
In a statement on Monday, RSP General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti condemned the way the government handled the Gen Z protest in Kathmandu.
"The relevance of the current government has completely ended. We demand the prime minister's immediate resignation. A high-level judicial probe commission should be formed to investigate the incident and take stern action against the home minister and all others responsible," Burlakoti said.
The party also said that the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML coalition have failed to resolve national issues....
