Kathmandu, Dec. 21 -- Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) chair Rabi Lamichhane has said that the country must head to elections, insisting there is "no alternative" under the present circumstances.
Addressing party leaders and cadres at the RSP office in Banasthali on Sunday, ahead of formally resuming his duties as party chief, Lamichhane said addressing the demands raised by the Gen Z uprising has become unavoidable. This is the RSP chief's first address at the party headquarters after he was released on bail by the High Court Tulsipur on Friday on cooperatives fraud charges.
He said the RSP stands with the government on three agendas-maintaining good governance, addressing Gen Z demands, and holding elections.
