Kathmandu, April 3 -- The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has demanded the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak in connection with the investigation into the Tinkune incident on March 28.

A group of RPP leaders, along with party chair Rajendra Lingden, met Acting Prime Minister Prakashman Singh on Thursday and urged for a fair and impartial investigation into the matter.

The pro-monarchy party claimed that the actions of the state agencies provoked the protesters to turn violent.

RPP also voiced its objections to the sedition charges that have been filed against its leaders, including senior vice-chairman Rabindra Mishra and general secretary Dhawal Shamsher Rana, who participated in the protest. The party described the charges ...
