Kathmandu, June 21 -- The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has reshuffled its central leadership roles on its third anniversary.

At a central committee meeting held today, Manish Jha was appointed the party's official spokesperson, having previously served in an acting capacity. Similarly, Kabindra Burlakoti, who had been acting general secretary, has now been officially designated to the position.

The party had been operating with acting leadership after relieving its founding general secretary and spokesperson, Mukul Dhakal, of his responsibilities on June 9 last year. He was accused of incompetence, indiscipline, indecent and chaotic conduct, and violating party rules. Dhakal was later expelled from the party on August 17, 2024.
