Kathmandu, Oct. 4 -- The Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported significant rainfall across the country since early Saturday morning.

Rainfall intensified during the morning, causing flooding in several areas. In the past hour, Kathmandu recorded 6 mm, Lalitpur 9.8 mm, and Bhaktapur 5 mm of rainfall. The Terai regions, including districts around the Kathmandu Valley, are receiving the heaviest rain. Parsa recorded 10 mm and Rautahat 10.6 mm in the same period, with Mahottari and Dhanusha also reporting rainfall.

Over the past 12 hours, the highest rainfall was recorded in Garbama, Kailali, at 83.2 mm, according to department information officer Dinkar Kayastha. Parsa received 40 m...
