Kathmandu, Aug. 18 -- Proton Malaysia, in partnership with Jagdamba Motors in Kathmandu, has launched its first electric vehicle in Nepal-the Proton e.MAS 7. The model is the first Malaysian-made EV to be introduced to the local market.
The partnership between Proton and Jagdamba Motors dates back to November 2018, when Jagdamba was appointed as the sole authorised distributor for the brand in Nepal.
The Proton e.MAS 7, developed in collaboration with Chinese automaker Geely, was officially unveiled in Kathmandu by Proton CEO Li Chunrong, according to the company.
