Kathmandu, Oct. 10 -- President Ramchandra Paudel is set to hold discussions with political parties and the government on holding the elections as scheduled.

All parties represented in the dissolved House of Representatives, along with the government, have been invited to the meeting, which will take place at the presidential office, Sheetal Niwas, at 4 pm today, the President's office said.

The interim government formed after the Gen Z movement has a six-month mandate to hold elections. Prime Minister Sushila Karki, who heads the government tasked with conducting the House of Representatives election on March 5, had addressed the nation on September 25, promising that the polls would be free, fair, and inclusive.
