Kathmandu, March 11 -- President Ramchandra Paudel has called for greater efforts to strengthen federalism, good governance, and the rule of law in Nepal. Speaking at the handover of the Pokhara declaration during a meeting at the Office of the President in Sheetal Niwas on Tuesday, Paudel highlighted the crucial role Parliament must play in holding the government accountable and responsive to the people.

"Federalism, good governance, and the rule of law must be reinforced, and to achieve this, the role of Parliament must be more effective in making the government responsible and accountable to the people," he said.
