Kathmandu, Nov. 3 -- President Ramchandra Paudel left for Doha on Monday morning, leading the Nepali delegation to attend the Second World Summit for Social Development scheduled from November 4 to 6 in the Qatari capital.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the President is visiting at the invitation of Qatar's Amir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
Vice President Ramsahaya Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Sushila Karki, Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal, Qatar's Ambassador to Nepal Mishal Mohammed Al-Ansari, senior government officials, and heads of security agencies were present at Tribhuvan International Airport to see him off.
A contingent of the Nepal Army presented a guard of honour to the President on the occasion.
