Kathmandu, Feb. 22 -- President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Friday authenticated the National Medical Education Bill. With the authentication, the Bill has changed into the law.

Earlier on January 25, the House of Representatives had endorsed the National Medical Education Bill amidst protest from the main opposition Nepali Congress. Following the endorsement, the Bill was sent to the National Assembly for approval.

The National Assembly meeting on February 1 had endorsed the National Medical Education Bill with a majority votes amid protests by main opposition Nepali Congress.
