ACHHAM, April 6 -- Police officers stationed at the Dhungachalna Police Post have been working from a 60-year-old dilapidated building in the south eastern part of Achham district for a long time now.

The police post had moved to the building 18 years ago following an attack on the previous station by Maoist insurgents.

Sarpa Singh Thapa, a native of Dhungachalna, said the police officers are posted there to provide security to the people of Turmakhand Rural Municipality-4. "They have a large area to cover but they have no proper accommodation here," said Thapa.
