Kathmandu, Feb. 16 -- Police have rearrested seven prisoners who had escaped from various prisons in Kathmandu during the Gen Z protests in September last year.
The operation was carried out by the District Police Range Kathmandu and its subordinate offices, following coordinated search efforts.
Those recaptured include 41-year-old Tenzing Bahadur Tamang, convicted in a robbery case; 20-year-old Pritam Gurung, convicted of theft; 23-year-old Babita Tamang, convicted of human trafficking; 22-year-old Bikram Nepali, convicted of burglary; 27-year-old Bhuwan Tamang, convicted in a drug case; 20-year-old Anis Magar, convicted of attempted murder; and 26-year-old Roshan Sah, convicted in a drug case.
