Sindhuli, June 18 -- A police team has raided the ashram of Ram Bahadur Bomjan in search of the controversial cult leader in Kamalamai Municipality, Sindhuli.

A joint team from the Central Investigation Bureau, the Bagmati Provincial Police and investigation officers of Kavre, Sindhupalchok and Sarlahi districts reached the ashram site at Pairey on Thursday with two sniffer dogs to detain Bomjan. Four of his disciples have gone missing from his retreat for years.

Around 150 security personnel sealed the ashram spread over 42 bighas of land at Ward No 8 of Kamalamai Municipality. "We have sealed the ashram area and raided all possible places where Bomjan could be staying. But we are yet to trace him; the search is going on," said a polic...
