Kathmandu, April 16 -- Nepal Police has formed an internal panel to investigate the alleged beating of three doctors by security personnel on Wednesday evening.

Deputy Inspector General Biswaraj Pokharel, chief of Metropolitan Police Office, Ranipokhari, said that the department's attention has been drawn to reports that security personnel had baton charged some doctors.

"We have formed a probe team led by Senior Superintendent Kiran Bajracharya. The team includes Superintendent Mukesh Singh from Metropolitan Crime Division and Deputy Superintendent from Hobindra Bogati of Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu," Pokharel told the Post.
