Kathmandu, Nov. 25 -- Police on Tuesday dispersed a group of Gen Z activists, who attempted to enter Singha Durbar to meet Prime Minister Sushila Karki.

The group, led by Miraj Dhungana, reached the main gate of the administrative complex in the afternoon. Police said the area is restricted and barred them from entering.

Superintendent of Police Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, spokesperson for the Kathmandu District Police Range, said more than 60 people had tried to enter the prohibited zone.

He said gatherings of more than five people and sloganeering are banned in the area. "They staged a brief demonstration demanding a meeting with the prime minister, so they were asked to leave. No one has been detained," Bhattarai said.
