Kathmandu, April 22 -- Police have arrested three out of six men in connection to the April 10 house robbery in Ranibari, Kathmandu.

According to the Metropolitan Crime Division of Nepal Police, Nabaraj Tamang, 38, Shanta Bahadur Tamang aka Dipesh, 28 and Bikram Shrestha, 36, were arrested on Friday.

Six men had broken into the house of 79-year old Lalendra Sherchan at around 11:30 am on April 10 and robbed jewellery and cash worth Rs 560,000 after tying the hands and legs of Sherchan, his wife Bhanu Devi and their domestic help Mithu Thakali.

Police had launched a search after the robbers based on their descriptions provided by Sherchan.

Three of the robbers were arrested from different parts of Kathmandu on Friday, police said.
