Kathmandu, March 11 -- Police have arrested a man in connection with a blast at former communication minister Gokul Baskota's under-construction house in Lokanthali, Bhaktapur on Wednesday morning.

Superintendent of Police Sabin Pradhan at Bhaktapur Metropolitan Police Range said that the man was arrested from a squatter's settlement in Manohara, Bhaktapur.

The compound wall of Baskota's house, a van that was parked nearby and window panes of a neighbouring house were damaged in the blast. Police said no one was injured.

The blast occurred at around 7:40am, according to Pradhan.
