Kathmandu, April 3 -- Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has met with Sri Lankan counterpart Harini Amarasuriya in Bangkok.

The meeting took place on Thursday during the sixth summit of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC).

The two South Asian leaders, along with their delegates, discussed various issues, including enhancing mutual understanding between the two countries, Prime Minister Oli's secretariat said.

While attending the summit, Prime Minister Oli has been actively engaged in sideline meetings.

Earlier, he held talks with Thailand's Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, representatives from the business community and various other sectors.
