Kathmandu, March 31 -- Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Monday said that those involved in the violent acts during a pro-monarchy protest at Tinkune would not be spared.

Speaking at the House of Representatives, Oli warned that even former King Gyanendra Shah would be punished if found involved in Friday's violence, which resulted in two deaths and extensive property damage, including vandalism and arson of several buildings.

Oli accused former King Shah of inciting the crowd through a video statement. He questioned, "Shouldn't those who aim to become king again publicly express their view on these successive events?"
