Kathmandu, Oct. 21 -- Prime Minister Sushila Karki on Tuesday assured those injured during the Gen Z uprising that her government would act firmly against corruption and injustice while staying within the bounds of law and due process.

Speaking during a four-hour discussion at Baluwatar, Karki said the government was fully committed to the movement's goals but would not take steps that overstep constitutional limits.

"We will not move beyond the spirit of the Gen Z movement," Karki told the group. "We will act through proper procedures and within the law. We are working according to the mandate given to us. Elections will be held, and investigations into corruption are progressing."
