Kathmandu, Nov. 11 -- Prime Minister Sushila Karki on Tuesday expressed shock and sorrow over the car explosion near Delhi's historic Red Fort on Monday evening.
In a post on X, she extended her condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured, adding that Nepal stands in solidarity with India in this hour of grief.
At least eight people were killed and 20 others injured in the blast, which occurred in a densely populated area near a metro station in Delhi's old quarter just before 7pm local time, according to city police. Authorities said the cause of the explosion is under investigation. Following the incident, high security alerts were issued in Mumbai and Uttar Pradesh, Reuters reported.
