Kathmandu, July 7 -- The Parliamentary Hearing Committee on Monday endorsed the names of three individuals proposed for appointment as Supreme Court justices and one member of the Judicial Council.

According to joint secretary Nirmala Devi Lamichhane Wasti, the panel approved the nominations of senior advocate Meghraj Pokharel, Chief Judge of Janakpur High Court Shreekant Paudel, and Chief Judge of Dipayal High Court Shanti Singh Thapa as Supreme Court justices.

The committee also endorsed the nomination of Mahesh Kumar Nepal as a member of the Judicial Council.
