Nepal, June 11 -- The meeting of the House of Representatives was adjourned on Wednesday until 3 pm on Thursday, following continued obstruction by opposition parties over the visit visa controversy.

The session, earlier scheduled for 1 pm, was postponed to 3:15 pm. However, it could not proceed after lawmakers from opposition parties, including the Maoist Centre and the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) stood up from their seats and chanted slogans demanding action, effectively obstructing the proceedings.

Speaker Dev Raj Ghimire repeatedly urged the protesting lawmakers to take their seats, but the continued uproar forced him to call off the meeting.
