Kathmandu, April 28 -- Opposition parties have registered an urgent motion of public importance in the federal parliament, demanding a comprehensive discussion on the ongoing agitations of teachers and doctors.

The motion, registered by lawmakers from five opposition parties- the CPN (Maoist Centre), Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), CPN (Unified Socialist), Rastriya Janamorcha and Aam Janata Party-draws attention to the failure to implement past agreements between the government and the Nepal Teachers' Federation, which has led to widespread protests by educators from across the country.
