Salyan, May 30 -- One person was killed and another injured in a road accident involving a motorcycle and an auto-rickshaw in Salyan on Thursday night.

The accident occurred near Amra in ward 1 of Bangad Kupinde Municipality when an auto-rickshaw, heading from Sallibazar towards Baluwa, collided head-on with a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction.

Nabin Rana, 21, of ward 5 of the municipality, who was riding pillion on the motorcycle, died in the crash, said Police Inspector Baburam Basnet, the spokesperson for the District Police Office, Salyan.
