Kathmandu, July 1 -- Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is consulting with his Cabinet ministers at Baluwatar after coming under pressure to resign.

A minister told the Post that the prime minister summoned all Cabinet members to his residence in Baluwatar at 8am.

The consultation follows growing calls from his party colleagues to step down for failing to adequately run the government.

Senior party leaders, including Oli's co-chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal, and a majority of Standing Committee members, demanded Oli's resignation as both party chair and prime minister on Tuesday.
