Kathmandu, Jan. 21 -- The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index fell by 9.43 points on Wednesday, closing lower after the benchmark retreated by 0.34 per cent compared to the previous session.
The market reversed Tuesday's double-digit gain as selling pressure dominated most sectors.
Market breadth remained negative, with share prices of 174 companies declining, while 82 advanced and three remained unchanged.
Out of the 13 sub-indices, only the 'Others' sub-group ended in positive territory. All remaining sub-indices closed lower during the session.
