Kathmandu, May 8 -- The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index declined by 12.04 points on Wednesday, closing at 2,661.64. The drop, amounting to a 0.45 percent decrease, comes after two consecutive days of gains in the capital market.

The market had recorded a marginal rise of 1.03 points on Monday followed by a significant surge of 62.25 points on Tuesday, fuelled by increased investor optimism.

However, Wednesday saw a pullback as sellers outpaced buyers across several sectors.
