Kathmandu, Dec. 29 -- The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) witnessed a double-digit fall on Monday, the second trading day of the week, after posting strong gains on Sunday.
The benchmark index dropped by 10.53 points to close at 2,622.88.
According to Nepse, a total of 13,73,307 shares of 337 listed companies were traded 69,548 times during the session, resulting in a turnover of Rs4.77 billion.
Market sentiment remained broadly negative, with the sub-indices of all groups except development banks and mutual funds ending in the red.
SY Panel Nepal Limited hit the positive circuit breaker, emerging as the top performer of the day, while Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited triggered a negative circuit.
