Kathmandu, Sept. 23 -- The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) climbed 58.63 points on Tuesday to close at 2,682.25, continuing its upward momentum after gaining 111 points on Sunday.

Tuesday's rise represents a 2.23 percent increase compared to the previous session, following last Thursday's record plunge of 160 points-the steepest single-day drop so far.

Out of the listed companies traded, share prices of 238 firms increased while 14 declined. A total of 113.5 million shares were exchanged in 67,382 transactions, amounting to Rs 5.29 billion in turnover.
