Kathmandu, Nov. 4 -- The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index dropped by 27.64 points on Tuesday, marking a 1.05 percent decline to close at 2,595.24 points compared to the previous trading day. The fall was steeper than Monday's 8.24-point drop, reflecting growing market pressure.

Out of the total listed companies, share prices of 33 increased, 213 declined, and 3 remained unchanged.

According to Nepse, a total of 10.34 million shares were traded 46,875 times on Tuesday, amounting to a turnover of Rs5.15 billion-lower than Monday's Rs6.05 billion.

All 13 subgroups ended in negative territory, contributing to the overall decline of the benchmark index.
