Kathmandu, March 25 -- The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by 58.05 points on Tuesday, closing at 2,582.73 points, a decrease of 2.19 percent. This marks a decline after the NEPSE saw a rise of 26.10 points in the previous trading session.

A total of 240 companies saw a decrease in their stock values, while only four companies experienced an increase. The total trading volume reached Rs5.18 billion, with 11,155,955 shares being traded across 62,021 transactions.

All sub-groups on the NEPSE index saw losses today. The life insurance, non-life insurance, development banks, and hotel and tourism sectors saw the largest declines.
