Kathmandu, April 1 -- The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index declined by 16.95 points on Tuesday, closing at 2,676.17 points, a drop of 0.62 percent from the previous trading session.
A total of 201 companies saw their share prices decrease, while only 42 companies registered gains. The day's trading activity remained significant, with 56,548 transactions amounting to Rs5.79 billion. A total of 10,670,649 shares were traded during the session.
All subgroups, except trade, recorded losses. Major decliners included Guardian Micro Life Insurance, Bishal Bazaar Company, Radhi Hydropower Company, Sayapatri Hydropower, and NRN Infrastructure & Development Bank.
