Kathmandu, March 30 -- The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose by 29.82 points on Sunday, closing at 2,693.12 points, marking a 1.11 percent increase from the previous trading day. This follows a positive trend seen in recent sessions.
On the first trading day of the week, 222 companies saw their stock prices rise, while 22 companies experienced a drop in their prices.
The total trading volume amounted to Rs7.56 billion, with 76,354 transactions made, indicating a healthy level of market activity. A total of 15,572,862 shares were traded during the session.
All 13 subgroups on the NEPSE index saw an increase, contributing to the overall positive performance of the market.
