Kathmandu, Nov. 11 -- After three consecutive sessions of decline, the Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) saw a modest recovery on Tuesday. The benchmark index climbed by 3.21 points to close at 2,565.16, reflecting a slight gain of 0.12 percent compared to the previous day.
According to Nepse, share prices of 142 companies advanced, 102 declined, and 10 remained unchanged. The overall uptick was driven by more gainers than losers in the day's trading.
A total of 7.95 million shares worth Rs3.62 billion were traded in 55,632 transactions. The turnover, however, dropped from Monday's Rs4.51 billion.
