Kathmandu, June 26 -- The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index slipped by 4.45 points on Thursday, closing at 2,595.74, amid mixed performance across sectors and high trading volume.
According to NEPSE, shares worth Rs7.78 billion were traded during the session, involving a total of 19.6 million units. Despite the decline in the index, investor activity remained robust.
Out of the traded companies, 93 registered gains in share prices, while 155 saw a decline. The trading session reflected a cautious mood among investors, with selective buying observed in development banks and hydropower companies.
