Kathmandu, April 30 -- The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by 8.14 points on Wednesday, closing at 2,623.83, down 0.30 percent from the previous trading day. This marks the third consecutive session of market decline, though the rate of drop was lower compared to the last two days.
Despite the dip in the index, total turnover increased to Rs9.37 billion, up from Rs7.57 billion in the previous session. A total of 26.44 million shares were traded across 79,777 transactions on the day.
Of the companies traded, 107 saw a rise in their share prices, while 136 registered losses.
