Kathmandu, June 24 -- The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index saw a marginal decline of 0.22 points on Tuesday, closing at 2,600.53. The benchmark index experienced a slight dip despite gains in select sectors.

Trading activity remained robust, with a total of 62,755 transactions recorded throughout the day. These transactions involved the exchange of 13.82 million shares, resulting in a turnover of Rs5.76 billion, according to NEPSE data.

Of the companies traded, 107 saw an increase in share prices while 142 declined.

Sector-wise, subgroups including manufacturing and processing, investment, microfinance, mutual funds, and banking posted gains. However, all remaining subgroups ended the session in the red.
