Kathmandu, April 13 -- The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by 8.84 points on Sunday, closing at 2,661.86. This represents a 0.33 percent decline compared to the previous trading day.
Despite the drop in the index, market activity remained robust. A total of 13.18 million shares were traded in 54,361 transactions, generating a daily turnover of Rs6.28 billion.
Out of the companies traded, 88 posted gains, 157 saw their share prices fall, and one company's price remained unchanged.
Among the top gainers, Nepal Micro Insurance Company surged by 10 percent. Crest Micro Life Insurance rose by 9.98 percent, Trishuli Hydropower Company climbed 5.78 percent, NABL Stable Fund increased by 5.22 percent, and Radhi Hydropower Company gaine...
