Kathmandu, Sept. 3 -- The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) fell by 15.64 points on Wednesday, closing at 2,726.33, as most sectoral sub-indices ended in the red.

A total of 11.34 million shares of 326 companies were traded in 68,594 transactions, generating a turnover of Rs4.72 billion.

Among the sub-indices, mutual funds rose by 0.22 percent and trading by 0.07 percent. All other sectors, however, recorded losses. Banking fell by 0.55 percent, development banks 0.85 percent, finance 0.76 percent, hotels and tourism 0.93 percent, hydropower 0.93 percent, investment 0.54 percent, and life insurance 0.56 percent.
