Kathmandu, Jan. 4 -- A Nepali national accused of threatening the chief commissioner of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has been arrested in the Philippines after an international police alert was issued at Nepal Police's request.

Prakash Pathak was apprehended in Malolos City by the Philippines' Bureau of Immigration (BI) Fugitive Search Unit, following a diffusion notice circulated by Interpol on charges of extortion, criminal conspiracy and criminal breach of trust. BI has also published his details and a photograph on its website.
