Uzbekistan, July 3 -- Nepal registered their second consecutive win in the AFC Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers at Milliyy Stadium in Uzbekistan on Wednesday, defeating Sri Lanka 8-0. It was yet another comprehensive victory for Nepal after trouncing Laos 9-0 on Sunday.

On Wednesday, Nepal opened the score in the seventh minute with defender Gita Rana heading the ball crossed from the cornerspot. Nepal continued to score in the first half and before the referee blew the whistle to announce the end of the half, Nepal led 4-0, thanks to a hat-trick by Nepal's leading goal scorer Sabitra Bhandari aka Samba.

It was a consecutive hat-trick for the skipper, who was given the armband in the first game against Laos on Sunday.
