Kathmandu, Feb. 25 -- Nepal has voted in favour of a United Nations General Assembly resolution titled 'Advancing a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace in Ukraine'.

Nepal supported the resolution, while its immediate neighbours, India and China, abstained.

Three years to the day since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the UN General Assembly adopted the resolution with 93 countries in favour, 18 against, and 65 abstentions. The US voted against, alongside Russia, marking a major shift of its position on the conflict and previous votes.
