Kathmandu, Oct. 16 -- Already qualified for next year's ICC T20 World Cup, Nepal registered a commanding 38-run victory over hosts Oman in the Super 6 stage of the ICC T20 World Cup Asia-East Asia Pacific (EAP) Qualifier in Muscat on Wednesday.
The win not only ended Oman's unbeaten streak but also kept Nepal's flawless run intact. With the victory, Nepal climbed to the top of the Super 6 standings with eight points from four matches, followed by Oman on six and the UAE on four.
Chasing 152 runs, Oman were restricted to 113 for nine wickets in their 20 overs. Gulshan Jha starred with the ball, claiming three wickets, while Sompal Kami and Nandan Yadav took two wickets each. Sandeep Lamichhane also contributed with a wicket.
