Kathmandu, April 3 -- The government of Nepal sent a medical team of the Nepal Army for humanitarian assistance and support to Myanmar in the aftermath of the massive earthquake that struck central Myanmar on March 28.

The aircraft of Nepal Army, with the call sign NA-062-CASA, carrying a team of doctors, nurses, paramedics, administrative personnel and six crew members, reached Nay Pyi Taw International Airport on Wednesday, according to the Embassy of Nepal, Yangon, Myanmar.

Ambassador of Nepal to Myanmar Harishchandra Ghimire and Myanmar diplomat U Wai Lwin received the team led by Lieutenant Colonel Ram Chandra Shrestha at the Nya Pi Taw airport.
