Nepal, Sept. 14 -- Nepal on Wednesday reopened Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport, the country's key gateway, after nearly 24 hours of closure due to security fears triggered by protests launched by Generation Z demonstrators.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal said in a statement, "Due to various circumstances, flights had been suspended on Tuesday. As per the decision made in the meeting of the Tribhuvan International Aviation Security Management Committee held today, it has been decided to resume operations."
The notice further advised passengers to contact their respective airlines for updated flight schedules before heading to the airport and to carry official air tickets along with valid identification documents.
