Kathmandu, May 13 -- Nepal Police has launched two special bureaus to combat human trafficking and cybercrime.

Inspector General of Police Sarbendra Khanal inaugurated the bureaus in the Capital on Sunday. The human trafficking bureau will operate from Babar Mahal and the cybercrime bureau from Bhotahiti.

With the dedicated bureaus in place, Nepal Police hopes to the investigate and prevent human trafficking and cybercrime more effectively.

"The two bureaus had been a must since the cases related to human trafficking and cybercrime have been increasing. Both bureaus will effectively handle the cases within their provinces," Khanal told the Post.
