Kathmandu, Feb. 20 -- The Nepall embassy has formally inaugurated its chancery in Lisbon amid a special ceremony attended by senior officials from Nepal and Portugal.

Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai and Portugal's Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Ana Isabel Xavier jointly inaugurated the chancery on Thursday.

On the occasion, Rai expressed gratitude to the Portuguese government for its continued support in establishing the embassy. He said the mission would serve as a bridge to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries further.

Xavier welcomed the embassy as a new addition to Lisbon's diplomatic community and assured continued support from the Portuguese government for its smooth functioning.
